Case Study: Syracuse University 3/26/2010 - Escalating demand for greater computing capabilities and data storage meant Syracuse University needed to replace its outdated data center, which had been housed in an old brick building for decades. The university – regularly ranked among the Top 100 in the United States – responded with the opening of the Green Data Center, one of the world’s most energy efficient and green data centers. The 12,000-square-foot facility, which opened December 2009, is designed to use 50 percent less energy and produce fewer greenhouse gasses than traditional data centers.

Case Study: Remote Russian Ski Resort 12/3/2009 - More than 50 kilometers north of St. Petersburg, Russia, and the nearest utility line, Capstone MicroTurbines® provide power that brings luxury to a remote, off-the-grid ski resort. In November 2006, an on-site power system was installed at Sports Center Igora in the Leningrad region. The 2.3MW power plant consists of 30 Capstone C60 and eight C65 microturbines that are the sole source of power and heat for the entire resort.

Case Study: 1350 Avenue of the Americas 12/5/2008 - It's easy to locate 1350 Avenue of the Americas during a blackout in New York City - it's the place with the lights on. The building is a beacon in the darkness because it doesn't fully rely on Consolidated Edison for its power - thanks to natural-gas turbines from Capstone Turbine that generate electricity onsite.
